Hi Kathy,

We Canadians grow up on skates and especially outdoor ponds! I love your pond picture...brought back so many memories.

My two brothers and all three of my sons played hockey (as did my Dad and my Mom when they were young), so needless to say I've spent many hours in hockey rinks.....is there anything more Canadian than hockey?

Kathy, My son played ice hockey for a time.  I remember sitting and watching and absolutely terrified that he was going to get hurt!  He loved it though and stayed with it for quite a while.

Jo - while not a big fan of hockey I remember sitting with my father and watching Hockey Night In Canada on a Saturday Night and attending a few of my nephews games.
